Getting to Know the Real You, and the Real Support Your Family Needs

I provide evidence-based support and assessments for children and adolescents, and I support the parents raising them, with the coping strategies, guidance, and space to be honest that parenting a struggling child often demands. I work with busy families who are juggling everything and just want someone who actually understands what they're going through, on both sides.

Every family I work with is different, so the approach is too. We start by understanding your child, you, and your goals, not by fitting you into a program. You set the pace, I bring the expertise.

The evidence-based approaches I draw on most often are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, chosen based on what will actually help, whether that's your child or you as their parent, not a fixed formula. Before we start any treatment, we'll talk through what will work best for your family.

I'd love to hear from you. Reach out below and let's talk about what your family needs.

Meet Hannah, Founder of Mindaras

Hi, I'm Hannah. I'm a Registered Psychologist in Australia, and I've spent my career working with children, in classrooms, in schools, and now here at Mindaras.

I grew up near Manchester, in the north of England, spending most of my childhood outdoors and on horseback. That love of the outdoors followed me to the Gold Coast, where I now live and where you'll usually find me walking the beach or exploring the hinterland on a weekend.

My path here wasn't a straight line into a therapy room. I trained as a teacher first, completing my BSc (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Leeds and my teaching qualification at Goldsmiths, University of London. I taught in high schools before training further, with a Master of Science from the University of Manchester and a Master's in Education (School Guidance and Counselling) from Queensland University of Technology. I then become a psychologist working inside schools. That means I understand children not just as clients, but as students, in classrooms, navigating friendships, and growing up in a system that doesn't always know how to support them.

I became a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA after a two year internship in private practice, specialising in therapeutic work and assessments with children. I'm also a long standing Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists.

While working in an international school in Tokyo, I saw first-hand how hard it is for families to move across the world and start again, new country, new school, new everything. That experience shapes how I work today. Whatever your family is navigating, you are not alone, and you don't have to figure it out by yourself.

If you have any questions, big or small, get in touch below. I'd love to hear from you and talk about how I can help.
